We left home last Wednesday stopping overnight in Cordelle GA, Manchester, TN and Statesburg, IN (where Yogi Bear greeted us!)
We arrived at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds for Jayco's 50th anniversary international rally in Goshen, IN Saturday afternoon and checked in to the rally. There are 91 campers set up at the fairgrounds - that's nearly 200 people from all over the country. We are one of two couples from Florida although nearly everyone we've met spends their winters in Florida.
Sunday we visited the RV/MH Hall of Fame and saw several antique campers showing the development of the industry up to current types of campers. Then we went to Wellfield Botanical Gardens which was very nice.
Yesterday we went on the factory tour of Jayco and saw them build 5th wheel campers which was very interesting. We also visited a creamery where they make cheese and ate lunch at an Amish restaurant.
There are several vendors here giving seminars, games, movies, different group activities and some meals provided in one of the large fairground buildings. Everyone was disappointed that Jayco did not send any technical representatives to consult with owners about problems. We will be here a few more days. There aren't pictures from here except for our camper. As we move on there will be pictures and more to post.
